I really like the can-back. I have read on other forums where a lot of guys really like them. I havent heard of the other kind.

I had a soft topper on my Ranger a few years ago. I liked it and it was a great fitting topper. Takes a while to put it up. It all stores so tightly and nicely. I gave it to a friend who bought a newer Ranger and was selling stuff at the flea market swap meets and he needed something he could get in and out of since the sides can be lifted up.

How secure would you say the softopper was? It is going to be my closet and storage for a couple months while I am between apartments.

No. Not for that. Rent a storage unit or use a friends place.

yeah bad idea. say goodbye to your valuables and the $$$ you spent on the topper

No doubt. That would be a bad situation.

Might as well stick your stuff under a tarp in your yard. If you really must store crap in the back of your truck, get a hard shell off craigslist for $100, lol

his stuff would still likely get stolen lol. Maybe if you painted it black including the windows to keep from anyone peeking in. Plus don't open it around anyone! And weld a bf-lock and latch on  that might be better but not ideal but clearly right now you can't do ideal.
