Can't get it to idle - HELP!

Dude....

Put a bushing in it.

Or megajolt.
The bushings may be hard to find. I can get one if they turn out to be the same size as the common Ford distributor bushings in the v8 applications. If the bushing turns out to be oddball, I might have to get one made. This engine and I believe the 2.3 4 cyl were some of the first fully metric engines Ford used, so sometimes things are different inside.

They don't sell the proper size for even the common v8. I don't know the OD, but the ID of the common bushing you can buy is 15/32. That is the shaft size of all the old Ford v8 distributors. They do make 15/32 reamers, but the cost is adding up. I just need to get out there with the calipers and measure what I have and see what my options are.

Make the bushing.

Make a whole dizzy....

I know you can do it

Make the bushing.
I have been looking for an excuse to buy one of these.

I'll just put this right here:

Is "Powerspark" in Europe the same as "Duraspark" in the US?

~$165 total to have it shipped here.
Reading the description, I would say no. That is a points style distributor that is using a conversion electronic module of some sort. Sounds like it hooks up like a Pertronix unit. If it is some oddball electronic ignition, you would probably need to keep a spare module in the glovebox.
