I need help finding the oil pressure sending unit on my '89 ranger with a 2.3l engine. The oil pressure guage has stopped working but before it failed it used to work occassionally. The truck runs great so I'm pretty sure the oil pump isn't shot. I looked around the driver's side of the block around the oil filter but cannot find anything. That area's crammed pack with wires and such and I'm not really sure of how the sending unit looks or even if I'm looking in the right area. I have the Hayne's manual and I've checked for a location diagram on the Autozone site; however, neither source has any pics/diagrams of the oil sending unit's location. If anyone can help me thanks in advance.

.

it should be on the drivers side up on the head behind the intake manifold.
should be a 90 degree elbow in the head, and the oil pressure sending unit should thread into that.

on an '89 it threads straight into the head...

I was close! thanks
