I need some help. I'm buying a 1987 Ranger 4x4 with a 4 cylinder 5 spd, but the problem is it needs a new power steering bracket and I can't seem to locate one for the best of me. Do any of you guys know who makes them? or even better a link? My local junk yard has one but they don't want to depart it from the engine and I really don't need another engine just so I can get a power steering bracket. Any help would be nice, Thanks.

Too bad you don't need one for a 2.9L. I have one I'd be willing to part with.

I can't see why that JY wouldn't let it go with the pump still attached.
That's how they typically let a pump go, brackets and all, since nobody pulls a PS pulley in the JY, to get just a pump.

Worth a shot, tell them you need the PUMP, then pull ALL the parts you need and act dumb or just find another JY.

Yeah its always worth a try. I havent first handedly talked to the JY yet, my buddy whos selling me the truck said that he called them and they wouldnt seperate it from the engine. Ill have to give them a call today.
