Well every parts store Ive called saids discont on a 79 pinto carb what is the deal does anyone on here have one for sale? Im not wanting too spend alot just too swap over the duraspark

You can find those carbs on the 5.0's too, I think the year was up to 1980.

Just make sure it has the 1.08 venturi on the side of the float bowl put #50 jets in it if it don`t have them

You can find 2150s on many many M block V8s in the junkyard.
But you don't necessarily need one to do the Duraspark swap. You just have to know what to get rid of on your existing one, which means pretty much everything electrical. Keep the electric choke if you want. The rest, ditch it. It'll still run fine.

Keep the oil pressure, water temp and alternator wires intact. I was able to find the harness from the dizzy to the ICM at the JY out of a 4cyl ranger 3 and 4 plug and just needed to hook the green wire to the coil. The power wires from the ignition plugged right in also even though they are color coded different. You can use the feedback carb just put a metering block on it.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/500837/3

What about the thottle position sensor and the vacumn port at the front that connects to one of the soleniods on the firewall? I have a good feedback carb 2150 and will use it if it works just as good as a non-feedback.

Thanks.

if you are talking about the nipple that points up it is for turning the accelerator pump off just leave it unplugged or cap it check to make sure your accelerator pump works and the TPS throttle position sensor does nothing you can leave it unplugged. and just run the distributor from the vacuum tree or manifold vacuum. cap all unused vacuum ports and make a metering block for the feedback solenoid.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/500837/3 click on this link for the block

also, hook the power valve to manifold vacuum.
the nipple by the idle mixture screws.
