Hi all.
I have a black 2003 XLT with 238 thousand Kilometers (147,000 miles), it's in great shape but I parked it 4 years ago, and she wouldn't start. Old gas is my thought, so I put in a tank of "Premium gas along with some fuel stabalizer, replaced the fuel filter and pump. Not easy as I had to remove the box, but got that done. Installed the new pump, new battery and she started like i just parked it a few minutes ago, and it was -10 celsius (14 Fahrenheit)...I'm soooo happy!

Congrats man. Welcome to TRS. Feel free to share pictures haha.

For a 20–year-old Canadian truck in the land of ice, snow, and lots and lots of salt, the rust isn't as bad as I would have expected. But yes, it's time to do something about it.

FX4 Level 2 :headbang:

I noticed that too. I'm always leary of the stickers... but it has the correct level II wheels.

@McCauleyprop if interested... that doesn't appear to just be an xlt. The following link will give you the history and a run down of what made up the FX4 level II.

It’s the 4.0 litre XLT FX4 Level II, and all she’s ever going to carry is my 76 Rupp/Allouette 340LC Brute or my 79 CR250 Elisinore!..lol

All I know is that it's a 4.0 litre SOHC engine, FX4 Level II

I love a good success story.
Welcome to TRS!

I'm curious what exactly that means?
Like you can get a Ford Explorer, you can get a Lincoln Aviator....basically same car at the "body/frame" level, but the Lincoln has higher trim.

You used to be able to get a M-100 Mercury pickup vs a F-100 Ford pickup. My '68 M-100 had Mercury lettering across the hood and embossed in the tailgate - that was basically the only difference. (well, the Dana 60 and heavy duty rear suspension is in there too) Mine was probably one of the last built.
