Hello everyone,

New to the Ranger Station and 1/4 ton trucks in general. I've had a few different full sizes and my DD is a 2006 F350 diesel, but it's 87 feet long and with the diesel engine it's just not good for offroading. So I recently bought a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge. It's canary yellow, has the 4.0 liter, 3.73s with a posi, and is strictly going to be a bush beater/spare vehicle.

I look forward to learning a lot from you guys, I've already seen some fantastic ideas executed amazingly on this forum.

Welcome to TRS.

There's an awesome resource at the top of every page; "tech articles". Also check out the magazine.

Welcome to TRS~!

I just saw the town name...Carp...and thought you must live near water...

Hope you enjoy the new Ranger and find what you need to know on here...great resource as Richard said above...Tech Articles are a huge help and you can add to them if you find something missing...just submit it...but not to worry as you should find most things covered somewhere...

How'd you find an 87-foot long F350? 87 feet is 1,044 inches. The average F150 has a 157" wheel base, so that's a little less than 10x as long as an F150. The average 18-wheeler is about 53 feet long, so you are 1/3 longer than an 18 wheeler.

In Canada, everything is bigger.....;)

I thought things were bigger in Texas, smaller in Canada, because it's in the opposite directions you know, and because miles and gallons are bigger than kilometers and liters.

I'd drive that, I just wouldn't ever park it. It still isn't 87 ft long though.

I can tell I'm going to have to watch the hyperbole around here.

Yes, yes you will. I come off as a dick to a lot of people, but very few things I post are actually meant to be mean. My sense of humor just doesn't come across well in text. Mark_88 is another one to watch for. He is a bit eccentric.

Don't worry, I figured it was unlikely you meant to be a dick given that you were posting on an introduction thread. I can work with eccentric.

Nope they are both dicks!:)

Welcome!

LOL...see, a true prophet is not appreciated in his home town...:icon_rofl:

Welcome!

I'm an eccentric dick...that makes all the difference in the world...:icon_bounceblue:

Cool...then you will fit in just fine around here...we're all a bit off the beaten path...:yahoo:
