While changing out a faulty starter, I noticed that I have an electrical connector leading away from the fuse box, but it is not connected to anything.

Can anyone identify what this is for?

If there's nothing within reach it's just there for an option your truck doesn't have. My psd has three or four dead connectors dangling from the fuse box. It has power nothing...

It was put there to make you ask questions... it works, leave it alone.

Does your radio work? Looks like the connector that attaches to the radio static remover...but it could be an extra horn connection or just about anything...

what color is the wire

A new guy posted wiring schematics under the Submit for Tech section...really good and the second one shows what type of connectors and where they go in the wiring...not sure if it covers your years but worth looking at...

Haha okay, I guess I will just follow the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Thanks

That's the conection to the under hood light.
