my mom drives an 03 2wd dodge 3500 diesel, and she pulls a 15k pound horse trailer with it.

long story short, she's constantly ragging on my truck because it's "so little" and "not big enough to do anything"

so my dad suggested a bet i make

that my truck could pull her entire rig.

now i ask you TRS, in 4 low, could i chain the B2 to her rig and drag it any distance at all? i think i'd prove my point if i even got it rolling, and she made the mistake of betting me 500 dollars it couldn't be done.

So, will it work?

First, this is TRS, not RPS.

Second, I highly doubt your truck will even budge hooked up to hers.

Third, get it on video, i'd get a kick out of it.

Good luck!

If you just have to make it roll a bit, you will definately be able to move it, easy 500 bucks

dont let her park on a hill that you have to pull it up!

I think you have a legit shot. Just make sure the trailer is empty, her truck is light on fuel, and you're on level asphalt. Also, overinflate here tires by about 10-15 psu to help reduce the rolling resistance.

What part of her do you have to pull? Just the trailer? Just the Dodge? Or both the Dodge hooked up to the trailer?

In a nut shell. You should be able to pull it. Its just a matter of how fast and how far. Just make sure its a fair challenge. Flat, asphalt road.

I pulled a 1986 454 Chevy dually with a 32' camping trailer last winter. The truck was on ice and spinning. The trailer had a locked up wheel.

I put the b2 in 4lo, gassed it and hit it. All 4 tires spun for a second and then pulled it.

So, my truck was half on snow, half of blacktop, I also pulled it uphill before he could get any traction. He left the truck in neutral while I towed him...

My point, you will have no problem. Use 4-lo and make sure they are not playing any tricks, IE: Ebrake set, truck in park, trailer brakes locked, etc or it may break something in your truck.

yeah no kidding i tried dragging a old ford 250 logging truck today that was in neutral....ah no. and ive got lockers an a set of TSL's and wouldnt do shit in dirt. do it on pavement and check for tricks as mentioned you should be fine then. and spend the 500 before thay can get it back

Easy money. My 03' ranger pulled a Chevy 3500 out of a ditch in Tahoe when it was snowing. It had one of those pop up tent trailers behind it too. 4Lo with no problems what so ever. Have faith...

2wd ranger 2.3 pulled out a 2500 one time but i had a little bit of tire smoke and went threw 3 gears...

in your case be sneeky get a winch make sure your in front of a tree and go at it... if the truck and trailor give you any beef the winch is your backup plan... then if they try saying you cheated tell them you said pull it you didnt say how

Have faith in your truck bro! These Rangers, Exploers & BII's are stout little trucks. Remember it's not just the truck, it's the driver as well.
Remember, a good driver can make up for a lousey truck, but a bad driver in a good truck will make even the greatest truck be crappy.

well, she's basing her low opinion of my truck on that i couldn't pull her truck out of the mud when she sank it in her front yard up to the spindles and i was a) on wet gravel under the front tires, grass under the back, and had to use rope.

the rope kept breaking whenever i'd get good traction.

I think it can be done, provided level pavement and no tricks.

Granted, the most I ever pulled with a BII was a rather large tree branch... with crappy street tires uphill in grass...

I did try to pull an '89 F-350 dump last winter with my choptop... no-go... we were both sitting on an icy hill, all I succeeded in doing was spinning all four tires. Unhooked I could get around just fine, but there just wasn't enough traction to do anything until I got off the one side into the snow and slowly pulled him around so he was heading back downhill.

My Ranger pulled everything I ever hooked it to, which included towing a BII on a tow dolly a number of times.

um, in 4 low you might be able to pull it in park on level pavement... I run my truck in a tractor pull, I think the sled is like 15,000lb and I just have a 4 cylinder...
