Ok so I have an 87 ranger 4x4 frame is in great condition but the body is done for so can I swap a 94 Mazda b2300 cab
and bed on to this 87 4x4 frame?

I do not believe so. The first generation and third generations are very different from my understanding, and it is not a direct bolt-in affair.

While the body *should* bolt down, you'd have an interesting time trying to make everything under the hood fit correctly. It's all in different places.

On a 93 frame you might not have that much trouble. Some time after 95 stuff got shifted around a bit and some of the body mounting points moved.

The wiring is different. The computer moved to the driver's side, the engine harness changed from a U-shape in 92 and earlier to a J-shape in 93 on up. That can be overcome by just getting an older harness though.

Physically all the engine components are in the right spot. The dash would need changed for a later one, or rewired to match the later engine harness though.

Bumpers will be a problem, the 93 changed the shape of the front bumper and the frame horns changed accordingly.

I would get a tape measure out and measure everything very carefully before starting on that one.

Yes, measure six times...cut once...

I haven't gotten to the wiring on my project yet but it won't be all that hard to do. The 88 Cab went on a 96 frame perfectly.

Matching things up from that point presented a few minor problems. There was a slight difference in the steering connection through the firewall that I overcame with a 1" body lift....2" body lift would be better and I will do that some day...

In your case, the steering connection may be a bit low using the existing hole in the firewall.
