can I use the yellow coolant

I am changing my heat and rad hoses and going to flush out the coolant..I have the green stuff now..........can I switch over to the yellow stuff without any issues.......I was going to get the Prestone EXt.( yellow)........not the orange(Dexcool).......do I need to flush it out with water a few times......

I've used the yellow stuff...just before I cracked the head...but that was on my zuki and irrelrevant...as long as you don't mix them (and even mixing similar is OK)...flush it out and use just the prestone and you should be good to go...

the yellow prestone is supposed to be universal, bad things happen when you mix orange and green, haven't had an issue with prestone and old green...
