Can I use a TPS from a 90/91 Tempo?

I have an 88 Bronco II and am looking to replace the TPS, I found one brand new which has a slightly different part # but looks identical.

It is working on the same 5V signal and function as it is a potentiometer.
It should work shouldn't it? Thanks!

Have the two part numbers cross referenced at a parts store or the local ford dealership....go from there.

pretty sure they never ran a 2.9 in a tempo.
