Hey guys. I have never been happy with my steering. I have stonecrusher steering which I have been blaming for some slop and wandering on the road. But I think my rag joint setup is not helping either. I hear some people swap in u-joint style steering shafts. Which basically makes it more tight and responsive and what not?
Basically there is a shaft on the steering rack and then one on the steering wheel style...so one would have to get parts that fit on both sides and link things together? What is the easiest way of doing that?
I have a 96 Ranger and a 96 explorer for parts...it has u-joint style I believe. Is that a good source for swapping it in? Or will I need more parts. Thanks
