can i suck the fluid out of the MC bleeding

my brake fluid is questionable. I am going ot replace all my brake lines in the fall. For now I want to remove the fluid without dealing with bleeding the system. Can I remove "all" the fluid from the MC( i use a clean turkey baster) without having to bleed the system. thanks in advance

Lines are gravity fed I believe, you can but you won't get all the old fluid out of the lines till you bleed them out.

thanks...... i realize i will not get the fluid out of the lines. I figured if i got all new fluid into the MC that would be better than nothing and i can do it right in the fall. so do you think as long as i dont touch the pedal when the MC is empty i will be ok?

Yeah, should be fine, unless you got a leak in the line somewhere.

Thanks for all the feedback. I drained and drove it 3 times. it worked fine. cleaned it right up. I used a new $2 turkey baster and a piece of clear hose to suck it out.. I do the same thing with my power steering fluid every other oil change!

That's a good idea, I need to do that to my PS too.

I have a turkey baster that I use for the PS. I also attach about 1 foot of hose to the baster. then I can get it down to the bottom of the pump
