I'm just curious, I plan on doing an 8.8 l/s swap first since I'll being lifting my rear as soon as Summit racing gets the 5.5" blocks in stock.
I just finished the front and I couldn't find a true 35 in time. So, in the time being can I run 35s providing I don't use or use 4x4 sparingly. I Actually haven't had to use 4x4 when I go out on the trails.
:headbang:

you can bolt them on for sure, and probably do some light 4x4ing, but I can pretty much guarantee youre going to blow that itty bitty ring gear to pieces with the forces 35's are going to place on it, if you get into any sort of traction at all.

How about some 33s? I'm still contiplating the rear axle swap. The junkyard wants close to 110 for a posi rear end minus all the goods like drums, and stuff.

I was also going to run 35 x 10.5 so I don't have to buy new rims.

The weak spot on the hybrid D28 axle is the small inner axle shafts where they go into the diff carrier. If you don't lock it into 4WD, nothing should happen. However I wouldn't do anything but the very lightest wheeling with it in 4WD.
