i just came across a set of pop open quarter windows for my 1998 extended cab , will they bolt or will i need to modify where my stationary windows bolt? seem to be about the same size? bracket and all the mouthing hardware,

After pulling the interior panel out i found the holes were already there, had to pop rivet the two brackets on each side on the front and install the two clips on cab the on the closing side had to order the quarter window seals but found the windows are different between a 1998 2 door extended cab and a 4 door extended cab, even when they looked the same, ,I had to modify the interior panel a little where the opening and closing handle mounts,,,,,,,,

It would be cool to see pictures of the work. I honestly would not mind having that kind of setup for my truck.

it works . the holes are in behind the interior mouldings ,had to order from LMC truck the weatherstripping for the opening windows, removing bolts that mount the stationary widows was easy, removing the weatherstripping was messy (stringy and gooey) , but not too bad,,,,,,,,,

Any clearance issues with the latches? I’m assuming you don’t have replacement interior trim pieces with the notches for them.

I meant the notch in the plastic trim for the window latch.

mine had notches in the interior panels,
I have a 99 cab with pop open and a 98 without pop out. The pop out looks smaller . I have never taken them out yet because they look different. do they look smaller on your truck?
