Can I put a 94 2.3 into a 96 2.3

I read that the blocks are similar but what parts would I need to swap over (if possible) to put it into a 96? Are there any modifications I would have to make to the block itself? The only reason I'm asking all this is because I got a good deal on the low miler 94 and basically just being cheap I didn't want to have to shell out money for a later model engine.

It will work but not easily.Do a search on this.has been covered

The 94 and 96 use different crankshaft sensors, they have different sensor mounts, and don't directly swap.

Thanks for the help. It doesn't look like it just isn't a simple swap of the sensors and wiring. Thanks again for all the help guys I'll just have to find the correct engine.http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/images/smilies/bawling.gif
