hi guys i am having a problem with this cam i bought from camcraft they give u a card with the cam specs for the spring pressures and so on i took my heads which r brandnew aftermarket with all new parts to the machine shop to get looked at and to get the spring pressure checked so the guy calls me and tells me i need new springs because the pressures dont match the cam card so he tells me he called camcraft and the told him the spring pressures are give or take it dosent have to b right on so he gose back and forth with the guy so i call him and he tells me the same thing that u can run this cam with stock springs so my question to you guys is have any of u run a cam that has the stock springs on the heads and have any problems i just dont know who to trust any help will be greatly appt

The cam specs that you are using would help.

Current spring pressures? Recommended spring pressures?

Is it even on the 2.9L in your signature?

As long as the cam is not much bigger than stock the stock springs should be fine. To much spring can be just as bad as not enough.

A lot has to do with what your trying to use the motor for. If you want high rpm's then you need stonger springs to eliminate valve float. If you want a daily driver and the numbers are close you shouldn't have a problem. How agressive is the cam? How close are the valve springs?
