Are caliper brackets considered a wear item? 94 4x4. BBL, going to scope it out. :icon_confused:
Also what is min thickness on rotor, don't want to pull if I don't have to, dimension is on inside. Is it possible if rotor is to thin for caliper to push pad out of bracket? Thanks!!

Searched the subject, that's why I thought they were seperate. But they are not :bawling: it's all one piece with the steering knuckle (think that's the name). Problem is it's worn/rusted where pads are held. I have two options. Try to get good one from bone yard or weld and re-do slot for pads. If I weld are there any tips to do to prevent burning up electronics? Thanks !! :icon_welder:

1995-97 knuckles will fit your beams but require different calipers,
Brake lines (You'd need lines for a Non-ABS 1997) pad & Rotors.

But with the 95-97 parts you'll have more consistant brakes.

the issue with the 1983-94 brakes is that when the pad slots become worn the brakes are hard and high one stop and "long" and soft the next.

The 1995-up brakes feel the same way every time, because the pieces aren't shifting around as much.

^ this is why i want to upgrade to the 95-97 knuckles, non consistent brake pedal is one of my biggest pet peeves...... me and Thumper we have a love hate relationship.
