i just bought a 92 ranger with 62k original miles. the previous owner ran it into a bridge and messed up the front frame section and suspension. will the cab go on the frame without any modification? i already had the frame from another project and would like to use it. the truck has a 3.0 and 5spd. reg cab short bed. any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

I have heard of running off a bridge, and even running over a bridge, but never into a bridge o_0......

what year is the truck you got the frame from?

its from an 83, i heard that the second gen (89-92) had minor frame updates, but the basic cab mounts on the chassi are the same as far as i know

it was actually a low water bridge and hit the guardrail dead center of the front bumper, didnt even bust the headlights. the frame i have is an 83, looks like everything will go on but i havent had time to do any measuring, just wanted to know if anyone has done the swap and what were the little differences

thanks to all who commented

it will bolt up but the front frame rails for the bumper ar different and i think a lil narrower

you will have to swap the fuel tanks and chassis wiring, which should be easy with the cab off...
