wondering what the steps and difficulty of pulling and putting a new cab on. i have a 1989 ford ranger 2.3 4x4, on superbowl this year i rolled my pickup and crushed the cab. was thinking of making a convertable but cant quite figure on how to do that with the windshield please help this is the first rig i ever bought and i just dropped a new motor into it any advice would help dearly thanks. would even continue with the convertabe if any one has a good idea thanks alot.

I WOULD FIND... sorry, I would find a beater or junkyard cab ranger for cheap, take the cab off and see how hard it is to take it off. Ive never done one, but it looks pretty straightforward. a few bolts, some cables and plugs and a forklift to get it off. then I would decide if I wanted to repeat the same process on the ranger I wanted to keep. like I said, ive never done it, but ive heard its not that bad. I think some guys pull the cab to do transmission and engine swaps, because its that much easier.
