eventually i will be getting 06 mirrors and putting lights on those like the full size trucks. should be cool

I love me some cab lights!

Just bought that same set for my flatbed Toyota. The bed has clearance lights so the cab needed them too. A dually, no matter how small needs clearance lights on the cab

i like the look of them. i'm going to try and make my truck look as close to a fullsize as i can. next year it will be getting a coat of dark shadow gray metallic with black rally stripes down the side and black renders and grille. cab lights, mirror lights, roll bar?, driving lamps. she'll be pretty when i'm done with her

so a little bit of an update. got my package in the mail today.

Do it

trust me. they are gonna happen. but i'm putting the lights on the outside like the full size pick ups. i've posted on your build about those before. but first things first. i'm buying a 92 vulcan 750 so i need money for that first. but then it will happen. and i'm doing it the way where you dont drill the doors

i thought about installing em that way, but the light screws would be in the way of the power stuff, since i got power ones.

and yeah deff do it without drilling the doors, its super easy.

so i started removing all the trim to take down my head liner... which is really annoying because i have an ex cab so i need to remove that huge panel in the back it appears(unless i can bend it enough to see what im doing). any way. i took off the drivers side a pillar trim and i found this mysterious white and black wire going to no where? any ideas. i doubt it but im going to test it to see if it gets powered with the head lights. that would make life a lot easier

its not powered with the lights.... figures. now i just need one of those clip remover tools

so the finished product. over all i would rate the difficulty 3 out of 10. probably took 3-4 hours in total. worst thing was dealing with the head liner

i ended up spacing the middle 3 out a bit more. i like it. the kit i bought comes with everything you need. i didnt use the switch or fuse they give you. i just hooked it up with the dimmer/light switch. everything works great. heres the measurements i used.

front of the light housing to the windshield trim - 4"

outer lights to the door crack - 2 3/4"

center the middle by dividing the distance in half

middle 2 - 8" from center one center to center

i just eyeballed them for straightness. i started with the outer 2. then did the center. and played around with the middle 2 untill i liked it. looking at the pictures now i probably would have done 7 1/2" (1/2" makes a very noticeable difference). the 4" from the windshield ensured that all of them followed the same arc. i really like the look of it and am happy with the results. i can't wait to see it at night (pics will come) and to get my 06 mirrors and lights

picture as promised. and like i said. if i could do it again i would have made the inner 3 slightly closer together, but hey. its cool. i like it. and how many rangers have you ever seen that have cab lights. maybe 4 and only 1 was in person for me. and he lived an hour away. so i'm the only one in the area. once i get my 06 mirrors and lights you really wont be able to tell if its a full size or not at night

Looks good Ravo. Now you need to change your avatar to show 'em off.
