Hey guys Im running a 79 F250 Ranger(very happy that it has that badge lol) my problem is that Im 27 years old and up to now i have only owned manual trans trucks and cars. Now I have this truck running a 460BB
and a C6 trans...well the other day i went out in the mud and after some rough play time something gave way(got to pay to play I guess) tranny fluid everywhere I poured another gallon into the trans to see if it would move and to my surprise it did the only problem is that in the whopping block in a half that I needed it to move it dumped that whole gallon back out
so I got her home dropped the trans and now I dont know what the problem really is and I dont want to belly lift and drop this trans a 100 times before I figure out the problem so my question is with the truck idling it does not leak any fluid but as soon as it is in gear it DUMPS out between the block and bell housing does that mean the pump itself is shot or are just the seals blown out?? any info would be great thanks a lot guys! Long live the Ranger!
