C4 or C5 Bellhousing

ok thanks. yeah.. im still leaning towards a 164 tooth bell just because finding a flexplate that has the 50oz imbalance for a 157 tooth seems tricky/expensive.

Gotta go aftermarket, the 50oz 157t was never put on a car by Ford.

The 157t was only put in smaller cars back in the day, the 164t was put in bigger ones before everything went to it, so me wonders if the 164 torque converter isn't stronger too.

yeah, makes sense... I wonder too if the tc is bigger in the 164 sized bell which would probably result in lost hp to the rear wheels vs a smaller tc... not sure if that's a safe assumption to make lol but something to think about.

So I have been looking around for 157 tooth setup... I have found the correct flex plate and torque converter... However, I cannot seem to find an aftermarket 157 tooth bellhousing.. Let me know if anyone has a part # or knows where to get one.

Nice! I just bought the bullet and sprung for the JW 157 tooth bellhousing... I will now be on the hunt for a 157 tooth flexplate with a 50 oz. imbalance and a torque converter 10.5" bolt circle 26 spline :headbang:
