I've been reading over many threads regarding the 4/5 DJM drop. I have an 07 rangers sport and was wondering if i did the drop would i need to notch it and would my 20's still fit? the tires are 255/45/20

That drop won't fit on your truck, you have a sport so That means you have torsion bars not coil springs. You can un-crank your torsion bars for about 2" of drop in the front. in the back just pull the factory blocks for 2" of drop.

alright well i looked under my truck and could not see the factory blocks in the rear end so if you could find a picture or give me a escription as to where these blocks are it would help alot

If you had them they'd be between the axle and Leaf springs

so is that with blocks or without it, is it just the thing on top of the axel?

That's with out blocks

In that picture, the thing between the axle and the leaf springs is the spring perch.

remove weight from the rear tires but keep them on the ground. Support the weight of the truck by the frame. Remove the U-bolts. Remove blocks. Raise axle to meet springs or lower frame to meet axle. It might be easier to remove one of the leaf spring bolts to reattach the two.

make sure you have torsion bars and not coil springs. The sports cant make up their mind on what suspension they want to keep lol. As for a notch I would not run a bolt in notch with an extended cab because the driveshaft just barely clears the cab when the axle touches the frame. If you do have torsion bars, I would say remove the lift blocks, flip your rear hangers and install a set of drop keyways https://www.illusivefabrications.com/html/modules.php?name=catalog&file=product_info&products_id=437 this could give you about a 3/4 drop

thanks slammed i do have torsion bar setup, i removed the blocks but want it sittin low so ill be contacting you about those drop keys soon, do i need to purchase the new shackles or anything to flip the rear end?
