I have seached around and have not found a solid answer. I will be running a ranger 8.8 w/drum brakes on my street/strip truck. Does anyone make c-clip eliminators for the ranger 8.8? I was looking in summit's catalog and they say not for the truck 8.8's. Thanks guys.

Depending on what kind of power you're putting out, you might want to swap out for the 31spl Explorer 8.8"... The Ranger 8.8" is 28spl (same shafts as the 7.5")...

If you have a 31 spline 8.8 you can look into the Superior Gear and Axle Super 88 kit.

This particular 8.8 will not be in a ranger, and I really need the narrower pre-93 rear axle. I may end up going with a higher splined axle once the thing is on the road.

You can't just swap in the 31spl shafts and related hardware, you HAVE to have the Explorer 8.8" housing (axle shafts are thicker)... I think your only choice is to swap for a 31spl 8.8" or a different axle all together...

I just spoke to a tech at Moser, they make 31 spline c-clip axles and I can go up to 35 spline, but they will not be c-clip axles and would probably require different housing ends.

Yes, you can do all that, but the shaft diameter will not be the larger Explorer sized 31spl... The shafts will be the same size as the 28spl axleshaft, just with 31splines...
