C-4 tranny question

Putting a 302/c-4 trans in a 84 b2. Rebuilt the tranny using the output shaft from the original c-5 that came in the truck. What transmission fluid should I use? Manual says type H but I have been told different things. Any ideas?

I used Mercon3.

Factory should be type F. Its a little thinker than dextron/mercron but you would be fine with the newetr type fluid. If anything it won't sludge up nearly as bad over time.

OK. Iknow I can use mercon 3 in the tranny. What goes in the transfer case? mine is the manual bw something something something

trans case takes the same atf as trans-
its been almost a year for this thread - you just getting that truck running? lol
