Bye, bye TTB--bolt-on SAS

Yeah I noticed over the weekend that the new coil buckets were now for sale....needless to say I have a set coming in the mail real soon :headbang:

i was wondering, how did you modify the lower coil mount to sit 3" inward? any pics?

thanks!

I'm as happy as I can be with my JD buckets, I've abused the crap outta them catching air a few times (not recommended, breaks other parts) and they never had an issue. I know I've ripped the stock buckets (even after gusseting) apart on several occasions under much less agressive driving so I can attest to they're strength.

Oh, and they bolt on GREAT.

This just shows me how bad the bind is in the stock radius arms..... Can't wait until I build a set. Pm me if ya got any updates on the coilbuckets....

weird. Mine moved about that much unmodified.

Paid a little more attention to it last time I flexed it out, and regardless of arm bind I run out of coil before the arm bind is an issue. I need a taller softer coil to get the flex I'm after.

So has JD made anymore progress on this sas kit or are they throwing it on the back burner for the next 6 months I have tried emailing and calling them and have gotten no respones or any answers to my emails. Just curious

the trac-bar mount is the only part of the "kit" that isn't already available.

Sorry, I havent been on, been sick the last few days.

Like Tony mentioned, the only real part that isn't yet produced is the track-bar mount. The shock hoops are a one-off but you could easily make something to work. The only other added bonus to getting a "kit" is that it would be cheaper than buying everything individually.

Buckets-250
Arms-700
coils-170
track-bar -100
track-bar mount-
x-member-
shock hoops-
shocks-35x4

That's all I can think of right this second with all this ny-quil pumping through me but you get the idea.

Tony, sorry I missed this post. The coil buckets have 3/4" offset built into them and for the lowers I drilled new holes in 3/4" from the originals. That's 1 1/2" and I let the coil take up the rest. You can hardly notice over the span of the coil.

The shocks aren't straight either so you cant go off them. They lean in towards the bottom.
