I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the BW1354E can just plug in to my s'ploder? If I have to wire in a new plug, is it straight forward? I need an answer asap, I have a t-case on the line for real cheap.

I guess, basically, I'm asking how much is involved with swapping it in. My current t-case is the BW 4405

Thanks guys.

no, it won't plug in, the gem controls your t-case

it will bolt on, and work as 2 wheel drive, and if you crawl under and manually put the 1354e into 4wheel drive, then you will have that, but no, it will not plug in

Get the buttons, and the shift module, and just wire them in, and bypass the clutch/neutral sensor and speed sensor wires. Just be careful not to hit the 4x4 low button wile driving down the road. Or get a shiftster. It can be done, just not using the original '99 components.

That's what I was thinking too. A shiftster would be nice, but sounds like a major pain in the ass...especially when the driver doesn't quite fit under the truck without a jack. LMAO!! I guess it's just one more reason to ditch the side steps.

i dont know if it would work but couldnt you use the older shifter motor on the new transfercase? or repin the new motor on the new t-case, its only 3 wires i believe sense all it is is a servo with disignated stops for 4hi, 2wd, and 4lo?
