ok so as i looked all over i found out i have a odd front output shaft. my
t-case has a half moon cv-cup joint on the t-case output which i think where its leaking from (drops of oil on shaft after the cv/hlafmoom boot).....can the oil even make its way into this joint... i.e is there a seal inside the flange asmbly that the cv bolts onto and is it serviceable....idk seems i have a rare t-case setup and cant find much about it

Hey redneck, there's nothing odd about your driveshaft, I believe all 98 and up have the c/v joint at the t/case. The tulip shaped cup is solid and there is no way fluid can make it through the joint. You could have a leaking boot that would let some seep out of the joint or the front output shaft seal may be leaking. If it's the joint, you need to replace it. Look into aftermarket joints though, cuz Ford makes you buy the whole shaft and it's EXPENSIVE. If it's the seal in the case, you need to disassemble the case to remove the output shaft on that type, it's held in with a snap ring on the inside.
