So I found the torque for the output flange at ~160 ft-lb and was able to tighten it just to that before the engine started turning. I'm still feeling a good bit of axial play on the flange- I'm assuming it is meaning the output bearing isn't properly preloaded. My 1/2" dewalt pneumatic impact wrench tops out right around 120-150 ft-lb so I don't have an easy way to continue tightening.
Get a better impact wrench? Put a breaker bar on the crankshaft for something to tighten against with the torque wrench?
Would appreciate any advice, thanks
