Buyin a 94 tomorrow!...?

So yeah hi all Houston tx, it's a 94 2.3 xlt ranger ,131k, rebuilt trans swap at111k, solenoid caused starting issue fixed within past 5 years,recent tune up, minimal leak at rear of trans where the axle goes in...get to drive for work tomorrow and get inspection before the sale is final,what should I look/listen/feel for tomorrow when I'm drivin around,ie on the freeway?../in neighborhoods?...thanks in advance from what ive read so far I've come to the right place...

ask about the rubber timing belt and water pump...when last changed. Look at the electrical pretty good. Some trucks around this year model had some electrical quirks about them.

Someone else had responded to your post as well...they suggested paying close attention to suspension sounds...popping, knocking, etc...as this may indicate some problems under there. Take in the overall smoothness of the ride on various road surfaces turning, backing, parking....etc.

Overall, these are pretty solid trucks and you shouldn't have too much to worry about if the test drives go ok.
