2000 ranger, blower worked only on high. Found the resistor assembly was FUBARed' Replaced with a used unit from a Taurus after some trimming. The wiring harness connector was all fried to hell, are replacement connectors/pigtails available? I cut the wires and crimped on some ends as a temporary fix.
New resistor modules are available, I'd like to put a new connector on too.

Did you try checking with the local Ford dealer? I'm sure they are going to be expensive. But then again, connectors of all sorts are expensive period.

Yes you can get the repair pig tail from ford. Replace them all the time at work.

On my 97 is actually melted itself to the resistor, I was unable to unplug it.

thanks guys, I'll hit NAPA or Oreillys tomorrow.

Consider soldering the wires together instead of using crimp on connectors. I always solder and then use heat-shrinkable tubing to insulate. This can reduce resistance and heat buildup since it is hard to get a lousy connection when they're soldered properly.

it was the poor connection between the contacts inside the connector that heated up enough to burn the plastic. not sure which came first, rust or the loose fit, but between the two it totally fried stuff. the heat damage only traveled 1/8" up the wires past the crimp.
