I'm thinking its the valve seals, any other ideas?

Burning tons of oil

Have you done a compression test? What do the plugs look like? Got leaks along with burning oil?
If your motor has a lot of miles on it then it is probably the valve seals. They are know to wear out when the motor gets high on mileage.
