Somewhere I read about using the 89-92 2.3 cam in the 93-97 head or using the 93-97 rockers, etc to change the ratio and lighten it delivering a solid 15 HP more.i have a very tired but still runnin 2.3 i want more out of for a bit longer while collecting parts etc to build a turbo 2.3. Also want to know if these set ups can be done on the 2.5, meanin cam and turbo as i have a 98 needin ahead gasket minimum. Isn't it nice when friends pass their junk on to ya?.. would dig hearin from anybody doin 2.3 2.5 stuff right now...hawgford@windstream.net Should we start a page? I am here but don't post much I turn wrenches and machine, Old Ford trucks and Harleys mostly.....

I've heard recently that the cam differences have been debunked, and I'm sure you would have a hard time adding 15hp to a 2.3L with just swapping rockers...

The 2.5L has hyperutectic pistons and powdered metal rods, back in the day everyone said turboing that rotating assembly (aside from crank) wasn't a good idea, you could probably get away with a few psi but wouldn't be very knock resistant.
