Where did I muck up?

Did my research, searched the forums, bit the bullet and sprung for the Skyjacker 132 springs for my truck. Dropped em in and viola'! Not any taller.
Kinda thought it was odd that the new springs weren't any taller than the old ones, but I talked myself into the tensile strength/stronger spring argument.

What up? This was supposed to be the cake walk.

thought those were like a 1.5" lift coil?
maybe b/c they are soft ride coils... Idk.

Time for the stacked/welded washer mod in the info section. OR get the F150 spring spacers and some new bolts. Guaranteed lift but watch your camber when you go for it.

Love the meaty Coopers on there:headbang:

Dude! Tirecrawler.com rocks on deals. 265/75r15 for 109 each. It was too easy to justify not using the 14" Deer hooves and replacement rubber.

That's what I thought, too. Maybe the Supercab killed it? Maybe I should've done the 132X springs. I'm thinking either stacked washers and longer bolts or Ebag aluminum spacers.....

looking at the before and after pics I think you did get about an inch or two in lift. not very noticable, but it was there.

That was a great deal on the Coopers btw... I wish I could have found that when I replaced my tires on the 97 3 years ago...

132 is for standard cab. 132X is for extended cab.

Yeup. Talked to the fine folks at Skyjacker today. Gotta pull them out and exchange them for the Xs at Summit.

I had actually gone through Skyjacker's catalog and Summit's application thingy. It never specifically called out the Supercab and I had actually started working under the assumption that XLTs were Supercabs. My bad. I tried.

This old thing?
I named it after our cat. It always demands my attention and whenever I show it love,
I come away bloody......

Lol on the naming convention. I could apply that to several cars I have owned, including the Ranger. That is a sweet looking Wagoneer. How many miles on it? what year?

Thanks for sharing that with us

Diggin on the Muy Grande Jeep!

Great deal on the Coopers too! Im good for a loooong time on the $100 set of almost new Michelins I scored off of Craigslist but ill check em out when the time comes.

Yeah, I'm hoping they last a real long time. (Reasonably). I like passing on info on what I think are good deals or places. If it helps just one other person, then, well you know.

Tinkerbell (the Jeep) is actually my wife's. Technically, so is the Ranger. The good thing is, she let's me fix them my way. (And she taught me to fish. KEEPER!) Tink has been giving me Jeep mechanic learning for six or so years. She's an 88 with the 360 AMC V8. She is just north of 150k on the odometer. I've upgraded the ignition with an HEI/MSD combo, 3" RC lift, and a complete replacement of all the TCOs, Dual TCO, PCV, Evap system and about 9 Canadian miles worth of vacuum line. MPG still sucks.....:D

Oh, and the 132Xs will be here tomorrow..... Yeah!
