I have a 91 ranger with the 2.3. so far i have done away with the waste spark head, went to a 89 mustang d port thats been cleaned with a mild port and polish. I changed from the stock roller cam to a johnson's machine shop .510 roller cam with 282 duration, double valve springs, and titanium keepers. I have a brand new bottom end pistons, rods, rings, ect. My question is how should I feed it fuel? I have an EFI setup with 19# injectors port matched intake and a cold air setup with a 3.0 mass sensor to match the injectors. The computer is from the mustang and I have read that the "mcu" is good for 17# injectors? On the exhaust side im running a manifold from a 97 2.3, with 2" pipe and a single chamber flowmaster, and no cat. I haven't put it in the truck yet so can anyone give me an idea on how its gonna run? Also whats the take on the EFI? would a carb and dis be a better idea for this setup? Thanks. any and all ideas are welcome.
