I busted my spring hanger on my 1996 F150 this weekend hauling gravel. New brackets are going to run $45 each. So by the time I buy bolts this will cost way over $100. We all have made spring hangers for our off road trucks so what about doing it for our DD trucks? I have the steel at work in the scrap bin and would have to buy the grade 8 bolts. I was thinking of takeing some square tube and cut off one side and drill a hole for the bolt. Weld that to a plate to bolt to the frame. Anybody see a problem with it being a DD?
