Building up a 2.3 turbo wondering what pistons to use

Im going to be building a 88 2.3 turbo and I was wondering what pistons and rods are best maybe even bearings and bolts its going to be built for power I heard 5.7 rods will work but what kind of machining is involved in that

I also want to bore .30 or do you think that .40 would be better

Depending upon ur budget..and experience..

of course forged..dished. unless ur goin to go ms (megasquirt)..but traditionally dished forged. Bore size depend upon ur block..most would not bore anymore than to clean up a good usable block..(giving u more options should your need to do it again for whatever reason) The stock bore/stock rods/forged piston combo can safely yield 300hp..if your plans are to go beyond that.. Check ur bank account, and visit a few other sites that can open your eyes somewhat..

From my research..cylinder head/cam/big valve/porting/turbo combinations are more what this is about...the bottom end is actually quite strong stock..up to 300 HP at least...and to there you will need some fuel pump/injector work...again have fun..
