That's probably what I'd do. Just keep up on the wax and it shouldn't oxidize again. I usually do it twice a year once I get a good base of wax built up and on my Ranger I'll strip the wax and clay bar it every couple years. I'm not worried quite that much about my work truck, but it still gets waxed twice a year.I think I’m just going to put another coat or two of good wax on it and quit worrying about it. I’m not going to repaint a factory pant job that is still in decent shape.
Dad has a 69 Dodge swinger with the original paint, maybe someday my Ranger will be like that.
