I am looking in to putting buckets into my 86 and was wondering what ones should I get I want the ones like the Racing seats but I want them to be comfortable. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Can ya throw us some example pics? Racing seats is a very wide subject. I have Corbeau racing seats in my garage that I love but EVERYONE else can't stand cause you have to climb into them. Pic examples would be helpful.

Another question is I'm a husky guy will I even fit in these dang things? Lol

Being a regular cab Ranger you may want to look for something with a lower back. I'm in a similar situation with the 86 I'm building. I'm 6' and 215 lbs, and fit best in my truck with the bench seat all the way back. Want buckets but the high backs will move the seat too far forward. I need to find a low back that I like, or just stick with the bench (which I'm seariously considering). Thinking about some from a Mustang but need to find a set to check out before I decide on that route.

I have the third pic's in my garage. They are Corbeau though. Very nice but a bitch to get in and out of. For a regular cab spend extra $$$ and get some with a reclining option. Trust me!

mid 90s escort seats, i put a set in my 86 standard cab and my buddy that is 6 3 270 was comfy and you can get them really cheap, i used the bed brackets with 1x2 tubing and bolted it to my brackets and then bolted the seats to the tube. now i have them in my 87 ext cab and they feel like a racing seat but soft and comfy, will see if i can get some pics here next week once i am home when it is light out

I never thought about putting those seats in. I could even use b2 seats really.

They absolutely will bolt up.
Just take them off of the brackets and put them on the ones from your truck. Test fit first, you may not have to switch.

I have expo seats in my reg cab, they are the high back and it is a little cramped.
I put Eddie Bauer B2 seats in my super with no issues including the brackets, they bolted right in. The only issue I have is that they are a bit low, I will raise them with some rectangle stock same as I did with my expo seats.

You may have to drill and bolt the inside brackets if you don't already have buckets in your truck. 60/40 brackets work quite well too.

Good luck

Rich

I have a bench seat in there now so should I just grab the brackets too?

BII brackets are different, you will need the brackets out of a 83-92 Ranger standard cab with either bucket seats or a split bench.

I have Explorer seats in my standard cab... don't go that route.

I would love to find some EB BII seats but all the ones I have found so far seem to have been attacked by a pack of rabid racoons. Same goes for any other lowback bucket seat option...
