Bronkzilla - '79 Bronco

Boggin, don't take this the wrong way but why don't you sell/scrap all of your beat up rusty falling apart vehicles and buy one nice RBV or put the money in your BII?

Your sitting on a gold mine there.. I scrapped the cab/front chassis of my parts truck minus the body panels and engine and got $300. Now if I had the full truck I would have got closer to $400.. if I had 4 trucks loaded down with scrap metal.. well you get the picture.

thats where your wrong friend. scrap yards here dont pay for vehicles. i brought 6 (i think) vehicles to the scrap yard and never got a penny for either one of them

my b2 is the cleanest rbv ive ever seen anywhere on this island, i mean underneath the floor is still the original blue color, and she isnt rusted though or falling apart anywhere. i dont care what anyone else thinks, i really like it. so thats my good truck, this one isnt costing me anything, so big deal.

every truck i get there is always someone telling me how its rusted or junk, but they wouldnt be saying that if they seen my b2 in person. but oh well we are only communicating over the web so we cant know everyones rides inside and out. its ok though i wont post anything else about this one here

oh and when i meant i wont post anything else here about my 79, i just meant that i wont be real detailed on every little thing that happens like the b2 build thread, since this isnt an RBV it dont get much attention here, but i will update when something worth telling happens.

Are you taking them in as parts or as metal?

Or is it just a Canadian thing where they don't recycle vehicles?

ive brought in complete vehicles and ive brought parts. either way i dont get paid.

and i know of other places in canada that pay for vehicles, i wouldnt doubt if there were places here in NL that pay for them too. but the yard i go to is not a minute from my house, and the next closest one is over an hour away, so i like the closer one better

Whats the point of going to the closest one if they don't pay you for your stuff? Seems like your being ripped off to me, big time.

cause it would cost just as much for me to haul the vehicles in to the other place as much as they would pay me so i would hardly be gaining anything.
but i do get whatever parts i want from the scrapyard close to me for free since i gave them a whole bunch of trucks

I guess that works then lol.

I just wish I had a trailer for the highboy, it would make hauling so much easier. Did you see the pics of the ranger in the bed? It was sketchy lol.

haha yup, looks like something id do lol

well my buddy who is around 20-25 has a couple years of experience with body work and ive learned alot wth him over the last couple months, we've been buying older cars together lately and doing body work and he paints them and then selling them and at least doubles his money, so i started getting paid to work there and its offically a buisness we have.
anyways, were doin a 1 ton dodge now for a local sod farm company and we are going to be done with her paint tomorrow, then were doing a 87 camaro, then my b2 is getting painted

but thats besides the point. hopefully this weekend im gonna be getting an 82 ford with a 300 i6 and 4spd, so im gonna put that in the 79 along with the bucket seats in her, first thing is to get the engine in and have it running. (after i have a little fun with it in the truck its in now of course) then after its in the 79 im gonna do some work on it like headers from an efi 300, and add a 4bbl manifold and carb and just hte general maintance like gaskets, seals, etc.

also gonna put in the bucket seats from the other truck and then over next winter, me and my buddy are gonna bring the 79 into our shop that we do all our work at and take the cab off her and cut out the floor and put in pretty much all new. gonna use 12 gauge steel and 1.5" square tube for the ribs.

Hey man, i love your bronco. I'd love to have one like it. keep up the great work. I got a 78 f150 with the strait six in it and this thread inspires me to work on it. I'm making a build thread soon for it so check that out. I'd love to have the 351 instead of a small 300 haha. Also, are you really 14??
