My truck just crapped out, can anyone help. The bushing that is between the shifter and the linkageinside the transmission is gone and the stick keeps falling out with out the bushing. It has a 5 speed and the shifter assy. is removed with 4 bolts that reveal the linkage and the location of the missing bushing. Where can I get this bushing or do I need a whole assy.? any input and advice would help thanks.

If I remember right you have to purchase the whole stick from the dealer if it is the white ball on the arm itself. There are some pieces inside that can be replaced seperate. Your best bet for the money is to go to a junkyard and find a similar vehicle to take one from.

Yeah just go to a JK and pull one with a good stick in it. Just check the condition of the forementioned "white ball" on the end of your stick

You can certainly try to find a better one at the junkyard, but there are NO separate replacement parts on FM1xx sticks, like there are for Mazdas. Some folks have tried machining their own.

You MAY find new sticks available from Ford, or perhaps from a restorer as "new old stock."
