Hey guys, quick question here..

I've been wanting to build a trailer out of a Ranger to match my truck. I've got a BroncoII frame laying around, and I've recently found a bed from a 96 or so Ranger. My question would be, how different are the rear frame sections between the Ranger and the BroncoII?? As stated, the bed would be about a 96 model, and the BroncoII is an 89 model.

I have some spare body mounts laying around with the rubbers, etc, and can also cut and weld anything needed. I'm hoping for something simple though..

Any replies would be appreciated guys.

Ranger beds don't use rubber body mounts.

Aside from that I have nothing. :dunno:

I knew that the Ranger beds sat on the frame rails, so to speak, but I'm still pretty clueless..

Hopefully someone here that knows Rangers and BroncoII's will chime in.

Thanks for the reply man.

I'm pretty sure the BroncoII had the same rear frame as the Ranger but not sure. I've seen a couple guys put Rangers on BII's so it has to be possible. I know the Explorer has a a wider rear frame though.

Well I'm relatively sure that the frames general shape is gonna be the same, but the body/bed mounts will be different for sure.

Where are all the BII/Ranger swap guys when you need em?!?! lol

Frames are relatively similar except for the fact that I believe the BII frame is a bit shorter in the flat area that the bed would sit on. Like a good foot or so shorter.

I guess I'll just have to go do some measuring..

Thanks for the replies everyone!

The bronco II has a wider frame, i tried putting a trailor hitch on my ranger that came off a bronco II that was mounted onto the frame and the brackets were to wide to fit on my truck.

I've never heard that. A quick look at Reese hitches and Hidden hitches websites does confirm what you're saying..

I found a Ranger with no title that the guy may want to get rid of, so I may save myself the trouble. I got my fingers crossed.
