My credo
Lead follow or get out of my way
At one point they had a "solid lead" over their competitors...

Seems they had a couple issues after that... Skid plate and a lower control arm.

It's back on the course but I've also heard they may get a DNF because of the time allotted to finish.

Here is the Ford Performance Twitter posts that have been made since before the race started...

I was thinking about the Bronco R lately.....

I think there's a lot of people that feel that the Bronco needs to be able to compete with the Jeep Wrangler. I also believe that a lot of people feel that it needs a solid front (live) axle to be able to do that.

From the marketing point of view, there's a need to overcome that fear before the Bronco hits the market, so it's not met with resistance and negativity. How do you do that? You're seeing it. Ford is anal about anyone getting a clue as to what a new vehicle is going to look like before it's launched. So why are they letting us see a Bronco who's development they've been trying to keep a secret? Testing drivetrain? Likely. Proving it can be a tough off-road vehicle before it's debuted to get ahead of the naysayers? More likely.

One of those 3.8L Nissan GTR engines would look nice in my Ranger.

Imagine if Nissan finally replaced the aging Frontier with a new design that used the 3.8L GTR engine, and drivetrain/suspension components from the Titan, and flipped a big finger to Chevy, Dodge, Ford and Toyota?

Damn I wish someone would let me design a truck for them.

I guess it would look like this...………….

Well… it ended. In less then glorious fashion.

Seems the last couple hundred miles might have been on a trailer.

Disappointed? Yes I am

Derailed plans for ownership? Not at all
