Late to the party, but here's mine:

Do I have to remove the T50 bolts, to remove the seat backs?
Having a particularly hard time removing these torx t50 bolts.

Currently soaking them in penetrating oil.

You have to remove a bunch of those large torx bolts. I ended up having to get a large drill and drill a bunch of mine out. The threads sit exposed underneath and get rusted. I just kept drilling till the head came off. Then the seat would come out, and I just left the rest of the stuck bolt in the hole to plug it up. It will be another project if I want to re-install them later, having to remove the rest of the bolt.

I was able to remove one side via drill and chisel/Big hammer.

Will give heat a try.
Thanks

If you can get to them from underneath, it might help to wire brush/penetrating oil them from there.

Tried heat from underneath, no help.
Solution was to weld nuts to the bolts.
Imagine the heat from welding helped, as well as more penetrating oil.

All bolts are out, what a Pain in the A##!!!
Fires were all kept to a minimum :p:p

Thanks for the comments.

The other day I went by my upholstery guy's shop (to check on his progress).
I noticed that the drivers side back seat had a divot in the seat-back (similar to photo below).

I understand it's to accommodate storing a spare tire.
Funny thing is, I don't remember my rear seats having this when I removed them.

I'm having him build-up the material so that both sides are the same.
Did all bronco IIs have this feature on the rear seat-backs?

I thought I was fancy mounting a junk amp to the back of the dr rear seat back. Ran the wires into the seat out the bottom.

On another B2 I swapped the rear upper seats for front Eddie Bauer seatbacks. They were too tall and wouldn’t lay flat. So wing nuts on the seat bottoms got them out of the way.

Pleased how they came out.
Also replaced the old carpet with a rubber floor
Upholstery work south of the border is quite a bit less then in the US.

Bronco todo list is getting shorter :)
