I am putting my Ranger cab on a Bronco II frame, I need the designs for the body mounts before dad allows me to buy the frame, so he knows we dont have another project laying around for a few years without a future.

Anybody got designs?
Images of ones already made?

Anything else I will need to make that is custom?

NOTE: Needs to pass inspection in Pennsylvania, also would prefer it to be something simple if possible.

This would not be a trivial task...

I'm going to be working on this with him, and I am aware of the general difficulty of a cab swap. The real question is how much different is it to put a Ranger cab on a B2 frame instead of another Ranger frame.

I kinda vaguely remember something about the body mount brackets being different.

i think the front 2 pairs will be the same, the rear pair will be the one thats different. it shouldnt be that big of a deal to grab a spare bracket from one truck or the other and make it fit. do you plan on putting a bed on the b2 frame?

Nah, he wants a flat bed. That's gonna be all custom either way.

as stated, the rad support and firewall mounts will bolt right up.the mid mounts from the b2 will need to be removed from the frame and relocated behind the leaf spring mounts.drop the cab on to get the location and drill 4 holes on each side to bolt them up-it's pretty simple.edit-i was thinking of the extracab, which mounts the rear of the cab outboard of the frame.you have a regular cab-it mounts to a crossmember inboard of the frame.you may be able to use the crossmember from your ranger(drill out the rivets, bolt it to the b2 frame)or custom fab a new one from rectangular tube(1 1/2 x 3 x.120)laid flat and bolted to the frame to mount the cab.use stock rubber mounts between the cab and crossmember.

I need these designs in order for my dad to let me get the frame, so, can anybody make a quick draw out?

I have seen a few of these conversions on the forums, anybody still here that has done it???
