Hey all. I have an 88 bronco ii with an fm146. I pulled the teams to replace the flywheel. I've got it all back together but the hydrolic line will not cooperate.. I've got a full set of orings.. 012 is too small and leaks, 111 is too big which is what I have read is factory. 110 still will not fit into the slave. I have tried lube of every kind and pryed on it with a bpry bar and it will not go in all the way. It also goes in right without an oring so I can't imagine that there is anything in there.. can someone please tell me what I broke or what I'm missing?

Which connector is it?

What happened to the original one? I've never had an issue with them cracking or leaking.

Try opening the bleeder a hair. I've seen that work already.

I did that this morning. The slave is also almost out of fluid from the line half engaging so much or being put in without an oring.

I've also tried taking the spring mechanism out putting it on the fitting and pushing the whole assembly in like that with no luck.

I've never heard of anyone having to replace that O-ring. Maybe someone can mail you a used one of they have one.

Ninally ended up getting another oring that was thicker but smaller id/od, then after a few minutes a friend of mine was able to just beast mode it in..

Oh good deal, good to hear you got it figured out bud!

Sooooooo a few weeks later the clutch line popped out again.. I really would like to pull the trans and replace the slave just for this damn line but its seeming like thats what has to happen. Does anyone else have any suggestions of what I might be doing wrongto make it stay?

There is a break in those connectors I'm thinking 93 94 where the older one looks like it should fit but doesn't.I got stuck with this had too new a throw out bearing and it wouldn't connect but close enough to keep you trying. This experience is on the M5OD I didn't see what tranny you have.I fixed it by putting a newer line on the connection at the master is the same.

Its an FM146 and I am just trying to put together the same slave and clutch line that was in there before I pulled it apart, the only new part was the flywheel.
