So I saw that they had leveling coils for 4.0 and 2.3/3.0. I thought the ppi would be different I emailed them. This is what he said.

The springs are actually the same for the 4.0L and 2.3/3.0L.
197 pounds per inch per spring.

Isn't that a bit low? I mean that's good for flex but that's like jeep xj coils.

One thing puzzled me is they have different part numbers and the 4.0 cost more Suggestions?

I can't possibly imagine they are 197PPI, that's almost too low even if you're building something to flex. My guess is they have the wrong info on them (did they say who makes them?)

I know Skyjacker has leveling coils for 2.3L/3.0L trucks and 4.0L trucks. They are the same PPI (in the 400s) but the 4.0L ones are like ½" longer.

What I've been looking ffor is a coil soft enough to let me use the bump stops but only give me 2 inches or so of height.Im trying to avoid drop brackets and more than 2 inchs because I just installed a 2 inch body and would like to keep it at 4 inchs of lift.

Jeep coils are too soft for the 4.0 super cab. All the front series that are around 300 ppi are like 4 inch lift coils.

Yeah, I suspect they have wrong info (one thing is for sure, they got the wrong coils pictured on that page... those are F-150 coils).

Maybe these might work for you?

You would have to modify your mounts slightly to fit 'em correctly, but my guess is they'd sit pretty close to 2" lift (if worse gets to worse, you could throw a set of STX Highrider brackets and a drop pitman arm on it).
