what im wondering is, is it relatively simple to swap a d50 3/4 ton ttb into an 87 bronco and keep coil springs. im thinking of this because i have access to the axles for free and im running 40s on half ton. or would i be better off leaving it alone and waiting to put 1 ton solid axles in when i find some for cheap or maybe even free.
thanks

The D50 would more than likely be leaf-sprung. It would not be an easy or worthwhile swap

The Dana 50 front would need to be convertd to coils or you would have to swap leafs under your bronco. The Dana 50 really isn't much stronger than the TTB 44 you already have. The only thing you would be gaining is bigger hubs/bearings and better brakes. The shafts are the same size they just use a larger joint. The Sterling 10.25 rear that should be in the same truck that has the TTB 50 will bolt right into your Bronco.
